Windows on a 5 1/4 floppy?

Recommended Posts

I was going through an old cabinet and found a stack of 5 inch floppies:

Microsoft Windows - Disk 1-5

Microsoft Windows/286 - Display 2/Utilities 1

Microsoft Windows/286 - Setup/Build/Displays 1

Microsoft Windows/286 - Desktop Applications/Microsoft Windows Write

Microsoft Windows/286 - Presentation Manager

Excel for Windows

The copyright on this is 1985! I was 7 years old :)

Correct me if I am wrong.. but is this "abandonware" as in no longer costing money etc etc

Maybe we should find out, because Im not even sure if Win95 falls under that category.

Windows 95 IS abandonware... it is not supported by Microsoft anymore.

Well, you can almost hack 95 into 98, the only thing it really stumbles on his the lack of native AGP support if I remember correctly.

Any driver or software written for 98 will work on 95 too.
