a virus or something?

Recommended Posts

I got an e-mail yesterday that was titled "please try again" and at first i was suspicies and didn't wat to read it, but then i decided to look at what it was cuz i had my antivirus running, when i opened the e-mail and checked the attachment and as soon as i did, the antiviurus got shutdown, and something started to download atomaticly, so i got offline, then i tryied to run the antivirus again, and when it opened it closed again and it got erased,

well after 10 min of thinking i didn't want to re-start cuz something might happened, then timan reminded me off system restored, and thank god everything is back to normal, :alien:

anyone heard of such a virus before?

Never open attachments from untrusted sources, or even trusted sources without knowing what it is first. be sure to update your virus scanner at LEAST once a week. because they are coming fast lately.

You all talk about useing AIM and complaning about ads, I was wondering if any of you heard about AIM+ yet. Its nice little program that works with AIM to remove ads, and keep a history of past messages sent from every user. Its the first third party add on to AIM that I actually find almost bugless. (A few problems with cloning of AIM, but i dont use that and i am fine)

Sometimes the attachments are actually from people you know. They may have the virus, and it sent itself to your inbox.
