ALUOp
My friend just told me that she got this error message when she was trying to send emails to her friends. Is this new or what? Unfortunately, there was a problem: You have reached your outbound email quota for the hour. We have implemented this quota to prevent abuse of our system. If you want to send a large number of messages to a consistent group of people, you might be interested in Yahoo! Groups. Your message has not been sent. flyers
Don't know if it's new, but it doesn't seem unreasonable. It's only an hourly limit. But then, how small is the limit?

flyers
Originally posted by ALUOp That's what I am wondering too, but it doesn't tell. The TOS only reserves the right to limit traffic, but doesn't specify the limit. I'd send them an email and ask.
Tim Dorr Veteran Posted May 1, 2002 Veteran Share Posted May 1, 2002 interesting, but this is why I run my own SMTP server. I don't have to deal with the crap, and my computer's on when I send my mail anyways, so it always goes through...

Don't be so sure. if you do not have your own Domain or are on a dialup many POP servers will refuse the mail but not always bounce it back to you...
