Geronimo
I could not tell if the 9X boxes and the laptop saw the new XP box or not. If not check the workgroup that the XP box is in.

Geronimo
The caps does not matter. XP will cap it automatically. It might be a netbois issue. Try this. goto the Lan connection properties. Click on tcp/ip and select properties->advanced->Wins. check use netbois over TCP/IP.

Tim Dorr Veteran Posted May 3, 2002 Veteran Share Posted May 3, 2002 Do you have your guest account enabled in the User Accounts control panel?
DeathLace
It may also be the XP built-in firewall. If you don't allow it in their if it's on then you can't network with it :(. Also if you are using a NTFS file-system it doesn't work (I think).
Geronimo
You can create shares with NTFS. You just need to set the right permissions.
