HalibutStu Posted May 4, 2002 Share Posted May 4, 2002 for those of you that live in BC Candada you may or may not know that Spot Prawn season just opened. we'll i'm in the seafood industry and we just had our first pig-out. OMG i always forget how good these things are. the tails were huge and fat and the flavour ( with garlic butter of course) is out of this world! i'm stuffed full of Prawny goodness now :D anybody here ever have a Spot Prawn before? best in the world! here's what they look like........ Sockeye!!!!!! can't wait for that. our store sells about 500lbs a week :DEdit: your over-fishing comment is not entirely true. a lot of our fisheries are in good shape. prawn, salmon, dungeness crab are all good. our rock and ling cod stocks are a whole other story though.
