Fonze Posted May 5, 2002 Share Posted May 5, 2002 do you have to use special burned xbox games to play it? or can you use the regular bought ones? i tried halo and mine didn't work, couldn't detect the disk. then again i have two drives, a dvd and cd-rw. i think the software got confused and couldn't pick which drive to read. maybe in later releases the software will be updated to work with my configuration. from what i see looks like it could work. I know that it can play standard DVDs, but I tought the games were enocded either on non-standard discs or using a non-standard file format. Also, most CDR don't work in an XBOX. Based on some posts it sounds like some do - mine don't. My CD-RWs do, which is weird, but standard write-once CDRs don't work. Trust me folks, whatever the real facts are about the XBOX. I think it will be a long time before there is an emulator. Besides, why would you want one? The only reason is because you are too cheap to go buy the console and games. That (IMHO) is totally lame.
