syscrash2k
Hey! I just found out a way to make ur desktop widescreen 16*9 like a dvd :) U might think this is dumb but: 1. make desktop resolution 1600*900, 1280*768, etc. 2. set up ur monitor so that it looks right at that resolution. If done correctly it will be widescreen! kewl, eh? currently i used this to make epsxe play my psx games in widescreen. and what a sight it is :)

Krome
What's the tip to set your monitor to use 16x9 aspect ratio? What's the tip to set your monitor to be capable of dual desktop?
DeathLace
Originally posted by Krome What's the tip to set your monitor to be capable of dual desktop? For the dual desktop, aka dual monitor, you need two monitors and two video cards. Then go to the display properties and click on the "second monitor" that would be shown, and click on "Extend my windows desktop onto this monitor"

Osiris
Hrmm well my monitor is like yours, if I chnage to 1280 * 768 I can have 85hz refresh rate anything higher and im stuck with 60hz then again I never did care much for hz I never noticed any difference, then again I think my eye sight is deteriating so maybe I should be concerned witht hings like that. Anyway i got all pumped about this widescreen, therss gotta be something cool we can do, I mean widescreen format when watching tv is good, so there must be something good we can do here. Osiris
hrmm closest youd get to that is to buy a widescreen tv, and get a good video and tv out card or to buy a 42 or 32 in plasma tv , because they connect to a computer great are a widescreen as it is. but there like alot of money so
