[Help]Network & DSL

Question

etiwanda

Share DSL with roommate(through a router). Just set up a local network with him to share some folders. But when I play CS(same server), my latency is pretty high(it was low before the local network setup, and I am sure my roommate is not downloading). Does this network affect the speed of the DSL?

Is there any small freeware that can monitor(just monitor not control) the whole usage of the bandwith?

not atall, make sure you are not using any unnessacery programs and ask your roommate to do the samw if your going to play CS :) your ping could also be effected by the server so there could be nothing you can do
