Kaidiir
more people have died because of "god" than all other causes of death combined. religion is a brain tumor of the human race. believe what you want if it helps you sleep at night, but stop acting like you know everyone. because you don't. no one does. hotdog666al
I do not see how there can be a force/big man somewhere above us. Thats just... Not possible. But I wouldn't disagree with someone if they believed God was simply an alien from another planet that started our world, and they have magic powers and and... Ill just stop now while i'm ahead

leaving_
On the relationship between anarchism and atheism, I suggest a browse through "God and the State" by Mikhail Bakunin: God being everything, the real world and man are nothing. God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave....[While] Satan [is] the eternal rebel, the first free-thinker and emancipator of worlds. He makes man ashamed of his bestial ignorance and obedience; he emancipates him, stamps upon his brow the seal of liberty and humanity, in urging him to disobey and eat of the fruit of knowledge. I take the rejection of god, and religion altogether, to be part of employing anarchist principles as principles of behaviour; the rejection of authority, primarily arbitrary authority. pheirser
Why does every body get so angry with the poll poster ph3412t3h13 Maybe we don't sit all day on Neowin and do other stuff and don't see EVERY poll. The harrassing of ph3412t3h13 by all the neowins makes me think you are a bunch of SUPER GEEKS who can not get girlfriends. I'm athiest and near anarchist (except I know it would never work), and I can see why ph3412t3h13 posted anarchist on the list, it's still an organisation with control no matter how you look at it. Geez everyone, get a life.

vincent
I don't belive in a "god" because ther eis no evidence nor has there ever been that he/she/it exists. And the only argument religious practitioners can produce is that "faith" is all that is needed but ask yourselves, what is faith? wher edoes it come from? how is it possible for it to make someone "believe" in a "god" Not trying to disrespect, just trying to get some answers. vincent
Read one of the 3 holy books....They're the proof... 586255122 Ok, now how is on to believe something that is made by the believer themselves? In order for it to be valid it has to be made/created other than the believer. An outside source or main source have you. how are they holy? Define holy? It certainly wasn't proof of anything though, it's up to the reader to believe it. I chose not to, but I have friends who chose to believe it. jamend
Read one of the 3 holy books....They're the proof... 586255122 Oh yay... circular proof. God exists because the Bible says so, and the Bible is true because it's the word of God

Its like me saying. "hey i did this!" and when asked about if it is true i can just say "yea it is true because i said so" See what i'm getting at?
