* The fear and anticipation you felt in the trenches

* Your living conditions and daily life in the trenches

* Your morale and what you do to keep your spirits up in the trenches.

Dear Mom,

I sh1t myself again today. The bombs come so close. I tried to pray, but when I close my eyes all I can see are daddies hands. I'm glad to be here and away from him. When I get scared I think of daddy and how much better it is here in the trenches instead of with him. Remember when I stuck that firecracker up fifi's bum? Well something very similar happend to my buddy Bob yesterday. He accidently sat on a land mine while emptying his bowels. We were able to salvage some of his organs and make a wonderfull stew. The supply line has been cut off for weeks now. The air is full of the putrid stench of death, kinda like grandma's meatloaf. I'm getting used to it - but when I come home, you better not bring me to grandmas. Ackk .. Bill just got shot in the right eyeball and his left one is hanging out. I need to go and puch it back for him.

Wish you were here,

Private Lacy

actually Faction...

I have an actual letter that my grandfather wrote to his sister from World War II. It's not the first world war. But it might help. But I wouldn't be able to type it word from word.

if you want, i will tell you what he mentions and what he says about life and stuff...

*with emphasis* WWI . I do not think a WW2 letter would be too much use. There was no trench warfare, and I'm pretty sure most people can think of what's in that letter. :) :shifty:

yeah Faction it is true... The letter doesn't resemble anything of a trench. Trench warfare was horrible compared to what was going on in World War II.

oh yeah do me a favor... do a quick 15 posts so you can hit 3000 :)

LMAO !! How hard can it be Faction. 3/4 of a page aint nothing. Just think ... I'm cold, wet, and hungry, convered in mud and blood, and there's dead people everywhere with bombs going off everywhich way. Imagine your in the Beach mission of MOH, only instead of an ocean line .... its your trench. Got them big barb wire fences and anti-tank [WWI tanks] contraptions with bodies hanging off em. Now ... think like "what would I do if I was there", how would I feel yada yada. -- sh1tting your pants would be a valid, if not understated, description.

Or watch Pink Floyd the Wall - Theres a little WWI in there.
