Patch
i have windows 2000 and a linksys router hooked up to my cable and the connection is dropping alot about every hour. The cable company said i have a good signal and the modem i got is now 2 days old. Also i know my nic card works because i can still see computers on my network. So im wondering is there any way to tell if my router is bad. Becuase io know the cables are good too. I tested them. Thnax

TimeRider
I have AT&T Broadband. My Internet connection started dropping every hour . . . on the hour from 20 minutes past until 30 minutes past. I also own my own modem, and run a Netgear router. It was always at 20 minutes past . . . not 21 . . . not 19. I called AT&T and they blamed my equipment. However, I was having the problem with their equipment as well, prior to purchasing my own, and told them so. The very next day . . . the problem went away and has not returned since. Imagine that. -TR
