drinking is a good time. period. the whole concept for me is to get a good buzz going however i choose that particular night (hard liquor/beer...mixing is a no no, though). ride the buzz out a bit first and meet a few chicas....then simply go for the goal and get crunked.

here's a story...i was dancing with a girl one night at a bar i had never met before. i got her back to my dorm and sad enough she passed out right on the bed in the middle of taking her bra off...i put her on her side in case she puked then went to a buddies room and chilled...what an experience

I prefer a certain plant to a certain poison. But then again I could see why people would prefer eternal ****ing, being an ######, risking their health, vomiting and having hangovers as opposed to feeling relaxed, euphoric and at peace with ones self.

I used to work in my local pub and always had a few drinks bought for me during each shift. Concurrently, I worked day-shifts in a primary school and let me tell you, the two DO NOT mix!

I was always allowed off the leash as a kid and I like to think it made me the responsible young fellow I am today. But working in a pub, it becomes a home from home. I was virtually earning my money behind the bar and that's where it ended up by the end of the night; behind the bar!

Since then, I've gone off drink. I got sick of waking up with a hangover. I wouldn't prohibit the sale of alcohol, but it's a growing problem especially in my age group.

Instead of telling kids 'You're not having alcohol until you're 18 (UK) and that's final..." why not educate kids about alcohol and relax licensing laws so parents can buy their child a drink during a meal or special occasion. Instead, most kids do actually drink behind their parents' backs anyway and when the novelity of being of legal drinking age arrives, it's binge, binge, binge...

We need more liberal laws in the UK geared towards rationalising young people's attitudes towards alcohol because at the moment, it is simply not working.

Anybody got any views on this?

yeh thats a sensible view onex, but most of the problems related with youth drinking is trevs - i say evacuate anyone that knows what dnd means from the estates, then blow them up...

that'd end most crime - and save government huge amounts of money... then again i just dislike trevs.

and to the people that don't drink cos they think they'll get violent, or have a hangover

if i drink a lil, i get relaxed, if i drink more, i dance all night, i've never made a prick outa myself, and dancing badly isn't noticeable against a background of others, dancing badly. alcohol is good, and whats best is i now know pretty much how much will effect me how much (only took throwing up 4 times :))

When I was younger, I drank heaps. Just got plastered at every party with friends. Now that I'm 18, the novelty of it has worn off and I guess I drink an average amount.

ps, average for Australians is still f**king heaps

Call me up tight, But I don't think people should be drinking apart from the odd birthday or somthing like that.

Used to be able to get pretty bombed (threw up in a swimming pool once), but I can't anymore due to meds. Don't really miss it either.

I'm pretty much drunk most weekends. I spent around ?60 on Saturday night, and that was without doing silly rounds for people. That included taxi and entry fee for the club, and a Subway afterwards. Was a top night.
