KTamas
HI This is not another "Fx vs. IE" thread, this is kinda different: Firefox vs. Mozilla. Which on do you like? and Why? KTamas P.S: Fx for me of course. It's fast, and....superb :D P.S.2: No, there is NO IE option, and there Won't be, dont ask :ninja:
Wado
I prefer a Firefox/Thunderbird combo instead of the Mozilla approach. Firefox seems a little quicker and I like the leaner is better concept. I understand that the latest release-to-public build of Mozilla has used the same basic browser engine code as Firefox in a move to simplify things, at least that is what I have read. To be honest I would happily use either browser (it's a shame corporate IT can't be weaned off of MS crapware or at least let us use the browser of our choice). I literally stumbled across Mozilla. I had heard of the Mozilla browser but didn't pay much attention to it, I used IE and was mindlessly happy. About 2 years ago I built and started maintaining a website for a good friend ( Dojo Update ). To make sure everyone was seeing what they needed to I D/L'ed several browsers and tested the site with them. To make a long story short Mozilla was soon being tested less and less and was just being used. I made the leap to Firefox around build 0.7.0 and haven't looked back. The_Decryptor Veteran Posted January 1, 2005 Veteran Share Posted January 1, 2005 Firefox, it is leaner and smaller (file size wise) than Mozilla Although Mozilla is using the latest version of gecko, while firefox is a bit behind, so it is using the slower engine. shrike
Firefox, because I like mIRC as my client, and I use web mail.

elliot
Since there's no IE option i'll vote Opera. There's no Opera option either... you may as well as "voted" IE.

dreamthief
Firefox definitely. But Mozilla has the updated engine, that's the sad part.
xplatinum
Since there's no IE option i'll vote Opera. There's no Opera option either... you may as well as "voted" IE. 585210016[/snapback] There's no "none of the above" either. It's Firefox or Mozilla suite. Some people make things so complicated... you don't HAVE to vote. If your choice isn't in the list, you don't vote, it's that simple.
rollinup
Firefox of course! Last week I even changed the name of IE

If your choice isn't in the list, you don't vote, it's that simple. That's not what I was getting at. He said he's voting Opera because he can't vote IE. I said "there isn't an Opera either...". Anyway it turns out he edited so it doesn't matter anymore. Good job flying off the handle at me because you can't keep up with the conversation. beanboy89
I have used both Firefox 1.0 and Mozilla Suite 1.7.5, and I have to say I like Mozilla Suite more than Firefox. I was a Firebird user from around version 0.7, then switched to the suite around about 6 months ago. It just feels faster than Firefox, and like said, more updated rendering engine. ozgeek
Firefox, because when I switched, I heard that Firefox was a new version of Mozilla. But no it's a new self browser by the same company. But still Firefox seems to be more updated and have a large support and fan base so I chose Firefox.
