Coffeee
Hello All, I have a problem in CS: S where its stutters or jumps. I notice it when im walking and i see my gun instead of moving up and down smoothly, it jumps. Everyone else stutters when they are running aswell it seems, jumping a good few strides infront. People have said to me while playing... how come your walking slowly? So it seems its affecting how i play too. My FPS is constant at around 50-60. but at times has been over 100 and i still have the same problem. I have no loss or choke, and with or without cl_smooth on, its still the same. I have a few tweaks in a .cfg that has helped but not fixed it perfectly. Please Help :) Coffeee
Tran
Maybe it's just lagging? Maybe everyone you're playing with has a high ping.
Coffeee
Nope, i play in servers with low latency (less that 20 sometimes) and everyone has pings less that 50 or 40. Every barrels rolling around stutter/jump
phildachilpill
i have the same problem. i got it after i did my 3danalyze things. if u used 3danalyze, put ur settings back to normal. if not, then try to type in mat_dxlevel 81 in console
RogueJawa
Try changing the values of cl_interp and cl_interpolation. First try just typing them in console w/o any values, it will show you the defaults, then set them to what the defaults are. Otherwise try different values between .1 and 1. sTIMPZ
My advice for the cl_interp and cl_interpolation would be to use cl_interp 0 and cl_interpolation 1, because cl_interpolation as 0 is really jittery, and it's quite annoying, but cl_interp 0 registers shots 10x better than at 1. Other than that, I got nothing :(

Silencer
Coffee here's the fix: Open up concolse [~] and type in "cl_smooth 0" (without the brakets)
phildachilpill
cl_smooth is not the reason why that happens. its a graphics card thing. something in the cfg changed.
