I took the test through my tv and at the end the first screen showed 116 in a lightbulb and then when i scrolled down it shows you the number of questions that I got correct.

I added up the number of questions that I got wrong and it came to 15, so i 55 correct out of 70

roughly its about 2x what your raw score is, but they factor in your age as well

I've just been watching the Stanford thing too- very interesting. One guard took it upon himself to act as Hitler. Can't wait for Tues night to see the new one. Read a review of it in the paper - there's coups and everything.

I got 38 outta 70 question wrong, which gives me an IQ of 89. What is the average for a 15 year old?

143 here.

You need I think over 160 to get into mensa, and according to most IQ tests I think 110 is average and anything under 90 you are considered as being borderline retarded

Not sure that's right - certainly the average and the border line retard isn't!

Average is 100. It is worked out as your percentage of the average person's intellience so the average person has 100% - assuming the test is accurate. That makes 90 - 110 the normal scale.

Under 70 is mentally disabled, over 130 is genius and qualifies you for Mensa - I think! It might be over 140 or either genius being 130 and Mensa needing 140 or vice versa.

According to the BBC website on which this test was based you would have to be 35 years of age - 54 years of age in order to achieve the result you have stated. The maximum you can achieve for a 20-34 year old is 136 if all 70 questions are answered correctly. Therefore i think you should re assess your score :D

http://www.bbc.co.uk/testthenation/table.shtml

For mensa to accept your application you have to be in the top 2% of the countries IQ score. Why don't you phone them - you obviously have a very very high score, in fact off the scale :D ;)

no dumbass, 143 is my actual iq, as tested using an actual mensa test. Mensa doesn't allow any other iq scores other than the ones that were graded on their test. Now if you want to go take an actual mensa test and post the results fine by me but the bbc one won't be accepted.
