Top Skins of 2004

Over at WinCustomize.com I wrote an article going over the top skins of 2004:

http://www.wincustomize.com/Articles.aspx?AID=60522

I would like to compile a brief (i.e. no more than 5 skins) of the top skins in .msstyles format.

So what do you think were the 5 best new msstyles of 2004?

Update:

Here is a link to a poll on some of the skins we narrowed it down to:

All I saw there were winamp, wmp or wb skins except for opulence I think.

For me it's

1. Inspirat2 (2nd style ^^)

2. Infini8 (RC1) even though it's still beta)

3. Hilled

4. Souluna

5. Royalmod

Well, this is just a personal preference of course :)

I've been using RoyalFour for a few months now, but before that it was olive verde and blackout.

I don't have a top 5, only a top 2 .... winner is gfxOasis skin, and close second is Storm.

I don't think I want to install any of this skin.

I like skins in Longhorn Transformation pack

The main thing is that the msstyle needs to be from 2004 (Olive Verde is from 2003 for instance) and it needs to be an original. So Royale and Inspiriat and Longhorn skins can't really be used.

What original msstyles from 2004 would do you think were the best of 2004?

Hmm. Not in any particular order, but I'd say Mint, GFXOasis, HmmXP, Codename Opus 3.0, Static. For WB I'd say Vector Cell, Thunderstorm, Cyrix, Opulence and Somatic.

Looks like there's a definite consensus on Opus being one of the best ones.

I can't beleive no one's mentioned Luna Element, and maybe that's due to fact that it is very similar to Luna, but I've been using it for over 3 months and don't think I'll be changing soon, so:

1. Luna Element

2. Prominence Pro

3. Sustenance

4. Storm

5. HmmXP

That may explain why the mac ports from KoL didn't make it to the list
