Favorite E-Mail Service?

Recommended Posts

What's everyone's favorite E-Mail service (pay or free), and why?

Just thought I'd ask because I'm looking for a really reliable & all around good E-Mail service (hopefully POP3-based with a cool @____.___)

Well, please post your comments here.

Thanks a lot!

i just use mail.yahoo.com and forward anything @timdorr.com to it. That way I get web-based email for free, and pop3 access.

Been using Hotpop for ages now, well reliable but you do get a few adverts - but only once a month or so (and they're are obvious and easy to ignore). The best free service I've been with and with a selection of addresses. You can choose protocol too.

Also use Bigfoot as a forwarder in case my account gets swamped with spam, so I can keep the HotPOP account and change the one I use in internet sites should some inconsiderate prick start sending me rubbish.

Personally, I prefer to use POP3 e-mail which I get from my web host, I hate free web-based cause spam is a nuisance.

That?s just my two cents?

i like my ISP's (road runner)

its actually lets you send pretty big files..(like 6 megs or maybe 10...around there)

pop3, and the service is great..

just hotmail. it's not nearly the best service out there, but i just use it cause it's generally one of the most popular.

if i ever need to save emails. i'll just use outlook and download them...with only 2MB available to store email online...i have to constantly look after it. but it's all good.:D

POP3 definitely

What I was looking for in this thread was for people to post the E-Mail service (i.e. Hotmail/Yahoo!/HotPOP/MyRealBox/...) that they use or think is the best out there because I'm looking for a good mail service.

Hopefully a POP3-based service so I can scan for viruses and have Outlook notify me when I get new mail; and hopefully a catchy @ name (i.e. [name]@{catchy-service-name}.net/com/org/...)

So if you could, could you please post the E-Mail service that you use & are happy with or think is the best out there.

Thanks.

I payed for my domain, and got an email service free!

I only paid ?5.80 (2years), but now they have gone upto ?6 odd for 2 years. but I think its still worth the money!

( the ?6 service is a web forward domain with email)

you could have "yourname@yourname.co.uk" or .com whatever

it also uses outlook, with a coded mailbox name

say if it was W123456-1 is your first mailbox and W123456-2 is your second!

so have a look @
