Zolk Share Posted February 16, 2005 I wasn't sure about widescreen monitors at first either. However, I'm really starting to get hooked on the format after using an Apple 20" Cinema display at school.

Steven Share Posted February 16, 2005 (edited) The 2405FPW is built by BenQ. The same company which built the 2001FP. LG Built the 2005FPW which everyone hated. The backlight construction is very different between the 2005FPW and the 2405FPW. The 2005FPW had "CCFL (6) edgelight system" where as the 2405FPW has '6 CCFLs U-type'. Homer Share Posted February 16, 2005 I personally just cannot see the point in such stupid widescreen monitors for a comp, unless your doing some very heavy gaming, or movie watching / editing etc. That's just my opinion though, I'm still happy with my 17" Viewsonic. :D

Da_Bears Share Posted February 23, 2005 I, for one, cannot wait. Luckily I ran into this site before making the purchase of the 20". To hear that the 24" was going to be a low priced as it is made up my mind for me in a hurry. I do not think I will have a problem running at native res with some eye candy either. I would ask that someone clarify one thing for me. Is it with a higher res you can turn down the AA?
