then theres card readers which get assigned letters based on what else is connected.

theres also my slug (a linksys nslu2) which has a 160gb hitachi deskstar IDE connected via usb2 icybox caddy.

i also have a 20gb ibm travelstar in a usb caddy but the caddy doesnt work properly and corrupts the data :rolleyes:

and a 120gb maxtor dm9 ide currently in my playstation 2
