I keep trying and trying, but i can never get it verified (mostly because of my debit (bank) card)

does anyone here have a verified paypal account, and if you do, what bank do u use and how many digits is your debit card?

Borg77, do you really have to add things like "I wouldn't call myself a poet since I don't have the knack for that kind of stuff" or "Sorry, I don't use PayPal" to threads?

The treads are for discussion about under 18s signing up for Paypal or about Poets. Putting posts like "No I don't do this" just clutters up threads. No one cares about your post count.

As long as you have a valid credit card, you can become PayPal Verified. I live in Canada, and PayPal accepted my VISA, and my 16 digit Royal Bank of Canada debit card. I'm certainly not 18, but I do believe the criteria is almost solely based on having a credit card.

I'm in BC, Canada and I've always been under the impression that you had to be 19, not 18, to get a credit card. I'm pretty sure you can get one through your parents somehow though if u really wanted to

I don't believe there is a way (other than mooching off your parents) to get a credit card under the age of 18. As soon as I turned 18, I got two cards, and only now am I beginning to work off the bad credit history I built up. ;) However, talk to your bank. I have a Royal Bank and a TD Canada Trust bank account, and I'm sure that if you had a conversation with someone in the know over there, you could get a credit card early. Just switch your bank account to a student banking package .. they always issue you a credit card if you want one through those.

Good luck!
