falconcy Posted May 19, 2002 Share Posted May 19, 2002 Is anybody else having problems with the IE 6 cache? I'm surfing along happily and all of a sudden I start getting random problems. I click on a link on website x to go to another link on website x and I get an error telling me that the page cannot be found on website y. I've double checked the links, no problem there. The only cure thus far is to COMPLETELY wipe the IE cache (I use PurgeIE) including the index.dat (this one can sometimes be a real biatch to delete) then run Ad-Aware and re-boot. This usually solves the problem (for a while) but a few day's later the problem re-surfaces. I've tried running my IE cache on a ramdrive, this gets killed on reboot, but it is not really that much quicker. If anybody has managed to work out how to stop this annoyance, please share, I'm sure there are others out there with the same problem. falconcy Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
