I wonder what they were smoking ;) maybe they can give me some ;) :D :p

I always thought the Philadelphia experiment was about time travel.

I saw a film on it, and the bloke travelled back in time to 1940 or someat.

Also on Command and Conquer they had teleportation (but really time shifting) type machines. Red Alert 2 they had Chrono legionnaires, they are time shifters, i.e. phase in and out of time

And in the FMV movies where a bloke playing Einstein he was talking about the philadelphia experiment about time travel.

Are you sure you guys aint thinking about something else?

Star Trek, the federation aint even got cloaking devices, they cant seem to make them. others have i.e. Klingons, Romulans, but they are a significantly older race. the only ship in the federation fleet to have a cloaking device is the Defiant and thats a one off federation, Bjoran technology mix (i think its Bjoran)

Ok then invisibility is created by time shifting/phasing out of time.

but that is not really invisibilty because you are not really there. if you are invisible you are there but cant be seen.

Hmm so you access hyperspace via a form of time travel/time manipulation, sounds about right. but is that right though. babylon 5 used hyperspace and theres no mention of time manipulation at least.

Time manipulation to get places instantaneously would be a VERY VERY VERY useful technology to have. For example, WW3 starts between Russia and rest of the World. America has successful developed this time shifting technology. They could launch a missile, Soviets track it, suddenly it disappears and reappears over the capital and boom, capital is dead.

Imagine the types of black ops and recon countries could perform with this technology.

No need for submarines to send Navy Seals in, time shift onto the target grab the reckon, get hostages whatever there after, say they have it and zip they are back to HQ probably within minutes, hours.

One major downside is that you would have to have the correct "settings for time travel" or youmight cause a ripple to destroy stuff.

You guys remember Star trek: Voyager where a time cop was sent to destroy voyager but they scuppered him and both were pulled back in time, then that bloke who thought he was mint, i.e. cannibalised the blokes time ship for computer technology took the time ship for a spin and ended up causing a time ripple that completely destroyed our solar system just because the time co-ordinates were incorrect. That is some scarey stuff people.

We could suddenly not exist any more because the government made a booboo in something, and caused us to be erased from time.

Oh well never mind ay, good excuse to spend money, buy flash cars, curse at people, have prostitutes - ok maybe not prostitutes, but you get the idea.

Why waste life, seize the moment.

It would be cool if someone would develop a device that renders a ship, vehicle, or aircraft invisible. It would change the way wars would be fought. A teleportation device would be cool as well. Imagine if something happens on one side of the world response could arrive from the other side of the world instantly.

heh.. ok.. if someone can make the 5 cheeses pizza thats in front of me disappear & come back ...

I'll go along with it, but if teleportation is in.. I'll be at Aria Giovanni's place :D

oh.. about all those theories of quantam mechanics and the effects of changing things in the past which would affect the future... well.. in ST, Q & even Picard & the gang go around fiddlin about with stuff... (see ep#Time's Arrow)without changing the course of eventsmuch ... so maybe the rules of physics are not as rigid as they appear to be.. ehehehe
