Goku
I have 3 computers (1 running Windows XP, 1 Windows 98, 1 Windows 2000 pro) and a server (Windows 2000 Server) I want to make the server as a domain controller which will hold say a DB ? the question if I choose a static IP address for the server and configure DHCP on the server (meaning that the 3 machines won?t have static IPs) can I share a dial up connection for the entire network? Or I need to disable DHCP and assign IPs to the 3 workstations? I wanna use the server as a domain so I can use the Active Directory feature... Any help would be appreciated :)
PsyCX
Yes you shouldn't have any problem there as long as it's the server that is attached to the modem and you correctly configure Internet Connection Sharing. However if the modem is attached to one of the PCs then that will need a static address. -PsyCX
