Internet in Aus Sux0rz

Recommended Posts

I just realised that with the new Optus@Home Cable changes there are only 3 unlimited download/hours ISPs in Australia and they are all dialup!

Unlimited ISPs:

xDSL: NONE (Used to be Telstra)

Cable: NONE (Used to be Telstra and Optus)

ISDN: NONE (Never was)

Satellite: NONE (Used to be iHug)

Tx/OCx: Business Only (Price Way Out Here! ($1000 a month!?)

Dialup: XiS ($18.95 a month)(www.xis.com.au)

iPrimus ($24.95 a month)(www.iprimus.com.au)

AOL ($24.95 a month)(Uses Netstats kind of routine :( )

So i rest my case, AUSTRALIA IS DODGY FOR INTERNET..IF YOU LIKE YOUR INTERNET DON'T COME HERE UNLESS UR A REALLY GOOD FRIEND OF TELSTRAS CEO

mwhahahahahahaha :bandit:

Anyway..thats my point

Anyone who lives here knows already what a sad state of affairs the aussie internet market is. Dialup aint so bad price wise, but who wants that when there is broadband. Too bad they charge such rediculous prices. Some days i really hate living here.....grrr.....
