he's being tried in the USA.  it's supposed to be innocent until proven guilty, but as most ppl in the legal system will tell you, the bias is more towards guilty until proven innocent.  please state any facts if you have them.

Our justice system only tries people that it believes to be guilty. Thus, most people who are put on trial are convicted and most people who are put on trial appear to be guilty. Which, in general, is because they ARE guilty. Biased or not, given the growing amount of disturbing evidence against Jacko, a reasonable person would believe that he committed these crimes.

how come this kid has come forward now though?

585404064[/snapback]

The DA now has the power to force the kid to testify. He did not have that power when the allegations originally came up. Plus, there are the drugging/kidnapping/further sexual abuse allegations that occurred after the initial accustion that may have prompted the kid and his family to talk with detectives.

Nope, we are not a court.  He can be guilty in public opinion without ever being found guilty.  Just think if you are the kids that he supposedly touched (if he did it or not).  Do you think they would think he's innocent until being found guilty.

I. i never said 'we' were a court

II. if i was someone who was supposedly touched i have no idea whether or not 'they would think he's innocent until being found guilty'

however i certainly wouldn't want my fate to rest in the hands of any semi-literate prejudicial minded person, so go take a nap :)

Even if we were in a court, the judge would ask us to make reasonable decisions about the evidence. "Innocent until proven guilty" is not really a rule of law. It's just that jurors are not supposed to assume that someone is guilty without giving it some logical thought.

Oh, and he's guilty. Without a doubt. If he gets acquitted, it'll be because of a technicality or because the accusers are unstable weirdos themselves (which they probably are since they were still hanging around Jacko after he started to get shady).

I think its time we stop trying to believe that this man could be innocent of what has been alleged. I mean, the guy is obviously doing something wrong here. Anybody see the transcripts of what the plaintiffs had to say about what Jackson did? He was asking them if they ever touched themselves down there and if "white stuff" ever came out, plus he gave them some porno to look at to loosen them up. Thats classic pedophile behavior. Soon as we find hard evidence, lets just put this guy where he belongs.

It will end up being like the O.J. Simpson thing. I watched a lot of it on T.V. I was glued, I found in my eyes a guilty verdict, I can't be able to see the Wacko Jacko case as they won't broadcast it.

If he is found guilty, if he is guilty and I know this for a fact, then all the parents that line up in a que to chuck him their children for him to play with are just as guilty also.

imagine how trying to find a jury is going to be.

i'm pretty sure every 18+ year old in the u.s. has heard of micheal jackson.

It's not a requirement that jurors not know who Jacko is. Lawyers can exclude whoever they want during jury selection. Whoever is left gets on the jury.

No one knows the real facts, It's all speculation, It's all show so far, Let's wait and see the facts to judge the guy, I know he is weird, but being weird CANNOT prove at all that he is a child molester.

I am not surprised a Mac user would find Michael guilty. You don't have to judge the man because he has 16 PC's + 1 iBook at his home.

Cheers, best laugh I've had all day.

If anyone has seen the Martin Bashir documentary he comes off as just being a complete nut

Pop superstar Michael Jackson admitted last night in a television documentary that he loves to have young boys sleep in his bed.

Michael Jackson: "It's what the whole world should do." (file photo)

What's more, everyone should do it, says the 44-year-old Jackson, who was accused of sexually molesting a 13-year-old boy a decade ago, and who admits recently encouraging a 12-year-old cancer sufferer to sleep in his bedroom.

?It's what the whole world should do,? Jackson told interviewer Martin Bashir on the Granada television program, "Living With Michael Jackson," according to a London Times account. Granada is one of the largest independent television companies in the United Kingdom.

Both Jackson and the cancer patient claim no sexual contact occurred during the sleepovers at Jackson's Neverland ranch in California.

Ten years ago, parents of 13-year-old Jordan Chandler accused Jackson of sexually molesting their son during overnight stays at his 3,000-acre ranch. After reaching a multimillion-dollar settlement with Jackson, the family dropped the case and no charges were brought against the pop star.

Nevertheless, Tom Sneddon, the district attorney in charge of the Chandler investigation, will be paying close attention to the new allegations of Jackson "sleeping with boys" when the program airs in the U.S. Friday. "We will be watching the program with interest," a spokesman from his office told the London Times.

According to that report, Jackson granted the interview to Bashir, best known for interviewing Princess Diana, to help rehabilitate his troubled reputation. "Jackson?s friend, Uri Geller, persuaded him to allow Bashir to become part of his entourage for eight months," reported the Times. "But the resulting film, which has been bought by the U.S. broadcaster ABC for ?3.5 million, could lead to police action against the fallen star."

Indeed, one executive described it as the "longest suicide note in history," said the Times.

'The most loving thing'

According to a London Telegraph account, the singer, when questioned by Bashir about the settlement with Chandler, said: "I didn't want to do a long drawn-out thing [trial] on TV like O.J. [simpson] and all that stupid stuff. It wouldn't look right. I said, 'Look, let's get this over with. I want to go on with my life. This is ridiculous. I've had enough."'

Bashir assumed that, since the Chandler scandal, Jackson was now more circumspect about his houseguests. But to his "utter astonishment," the interviewer said he discovered while visiting Jackson on his Neverland ranch that children were still sleeping over, "sometimes in his house, sometimes in his bedroom."

One 12-year-old boy told Bashir he slept in the singer's bed. Commenting on that occasion, Jackson said he had slept on the floor that night, feeling he was "four" not 44, reported the Telegraph. "I see God in the face of children," said Jackson. "And man, I just love being around them all the time."

Although he claimed only "very few" boys had actually stayed in his bed, Jackson strongly defended the practice, saying: "Why can't you share your bed? The most loving thing to do, is to share your bed with someone."

Despite persistent questioning from Bashir, Jackson defended his desire to sleep close to young boys, describing the practice as "very charming" and "very sweet." In fact, he recommended that the interviewer do likewise, sleeping in the same bed as friends of his own children.

According to Jackson, not only do children like to be touched, but the superstar told Bashir he would kill himself if he could not be close to young boys.

The 12-year-old cancer patient, named Gavin, said he met Jackson two years ago, and began sleeping overnight at the superstar's Neverland ranch with his brother and sister.

On one occasion, reports the Times, Gavin asked to sleep in Jackson's bedroom: "I was like, 'Michael, you can sleep in the bed,' and he was like 'no, no, you sleep on the bed,' and I was like 'no, no, no, you sleep on the bed' and then he said 'look if you love me you'll sleep in the bed.' I was like, 'Oh man.' So I finally slept on the bed. But it was fun that night."

"We have guest units," Jackson told the interviewer, "but whenever kids come here they always want to stay with me. They say: 'Can I stay with you tonight?' So I go, 'If it's OK with your parents, then yes you can.'"

According to the Telegraph report, an uneasy Bashir concluded that Jackson is obsessed with children. But the singer dismissed fears of sexual molestation, saying: "When you say bed, they make that sexual. It's not sexual. We're going to sleep.

"I tuck them in and put a little like, er, music on and when it's story time I read a book and we go to sleep with the fireplace on. I give them hot milk, you know. We have cookies. It's very charming. It's very sweet. It's what the whole world should do.

"If there were no children on this earth, if someone announced all kids were dead, I would jump off the balcony immediately."

Yeah, nowt dodgy going on there eh?

Oh, sorry, cause I swear you said innocent until proven guilty which only exists in the eyes of the law. The question being posed to us was do you think he's guilty. We are not the courts, law, or jury so of course he could be guilty to us. So please read and then go back and re-read what you said before you try and attack someone on what you said.

Regarding the M.J. case with the O.J. case, this is too highly-televised (I dunno what word I'm looking for...it's along the lines of high-hyped/scrutinized/closely watched) for there to be any hint of a scandal.

for South park lovers:

Mr. Marsh: "Mr Jefferson! This is highly inappropriate!"

Mr. Jefferson: "No! You're just ignorant!" :D

i think cause one person said it... all the kids who are close to him want a piece of his money... but i remember the kids that broke down on the stand and said "my parents put me up to it" and the parents went to jail for it. i can't be absolutely positive if he did or didnt touch the children, but its sorta like microsoft being sued for the dumbest things it doesnt even do.

i voted innocent, just cause he was cool back in the day, but hes starting to look freaky now, and these little boy things need to stop. he shoulda learned the first time, stop inviting children over to your house! without a security camera in every single room!

Whether he is innocent or guilty, i will not be able to trust the verdict...either way.

Hollywood,Dollars,Needia.

Mr Jackson is "The Media"l

No juror in North America does not know who he is.

If prooven innocent - there will be conspiracy about whether it was fixed from his behalf.

If prooven guilty - it will likewise be possibly a cause of "bias"

I don't know

but if a child was abused....

let him become the ultimate symbol - monument of pedophile

if prooven innocent - sue the **** out of the world for rapping you honor.

The jury decides...
