ECU Tekkie
I have my DVDs in a DVD book, one that zips up. I have noticed that a lot of my older DVDs have a ridge of dust on the underside of the top of the DVD, the part the sticks out a little bit above the plastic slot on the pages in the book. I have tried to remove this with a soft cloth but it doesn't seem to come off very easily. Has anybody else noticed this with their DVDs; and does it affect the DVDs at all? I heard that DVDs like retail movies have a protective coat on them, unlike blank DVDs that you buy in the spindles. Also, how can I get this dust off? Thanks! King Raa
My dads got a weirdly textured cloth which I'm not sure, might be for vinyls... seems to remove anything from cd's and doesn't scratch, so would probably work for dvd? go into a more specialist type of shop and ask...? or maybe one of those cd/dvd cleaning devices you can get? ECU Tekkie
Do retail movies on DVD have pretty good scratch/smudge resistance?
