morficus Posted February 12, 2005 Share Posted February 12, 2005 So my uncle (guy I live with) just got a new router (Linksys BEFSR41) and he made some guy from his job come and cofigure it. The prob now is that we don't know the username/password to get in it. I need to open a few ports... but got no password. :( Is there anyway I can reset the username/password WITHOUT reseting the configuration?? I found this... Hold in reset button for 30 seconds, unplug power for 10 seconds, plug power back in, wait 10 seconds, release reset button. but I prety sure that that will just reset the whole rounter... I just wanna do the username/password Can somebody please help me with this?? All coments, opinions and suggestiosn are welcome :yes: Thanx!!! BuzzSaw Posted February 12, 2005 Share Posted February 12, 2005 Well if you don't want to reset the whole router, then the only thing you can do is get a hold of the person who set up your router and ask for the username and password.
