Just tried it and got 2943.

Then again that is with zilth overclocking. I don't inted to overclock my 6600 cause I waited so long to get this card that I don't dare do anything to screw it up.

Actually nothing's overclocked at the moment cause I'm still waiting by a northbridge heatsink to replace my broken nortbridge fan. Heh, my computer's pretty pathetic right now. 2600+ running at 2600+ speeds :(

what do you mean by too hot?

it can reach a 100 C safely. the only time you stop OCing is when you see artifacts or REALLY gets hot.

My score...irrelevant I know since it's not a 6600GT and also not 3DMark05, but just wanted to share.

no offense but your post was useless for their thread, you want your e-penis to be bigger? here ill post my score so my e-penis is larger than yours they specifically asked for 6600's not x800 xt's. Sorry if i sound like a dickwad but its true, if they asked to compare their 6600gt to your x800 xt maybe it would be right, but they didnt

just so me > you

max is 140C.

on load, mine is about 60, 50 idle. so anything less than a hundred would be considered good i guess.

That was my score with my previous system 3.0C @ 3.67GHz and a 6800GT. My current system is not yet complete and my X800 XT PE should arrive next week. I'll post 3DMark scores for you once I have my completed system. This has nothing to do with bragging, so there's no need for you to get into attack mode.

BTW, there's no harm in posting my score although I should have mentioned that it was with a 6800GT. Just though some others might like to see the difference between the 6600GT/6800GT. Your videocard's memory is clocked pretty high...I was never able to get my old 6800GT past 415/1100.

i just read a nice review of the Radeon x800 XL and it beat out the 6800 GT:

Half Life 2 - 98fps // 83fps

UT2004 - 70fps // 67fps

6800 GT won:

Doom 3 (duh): 53fps // 67fps

Far Cry: 56fps // 61fps

Not to mention the x800 XL costs a bit less than the 6800GT and has all the same memory and core as the x850 (can we say flashing the bios :woot: )... ;)
