Toology
Professors at the Pharmacy College, Jinan University, say gene mutation, chemical pollution or radiation could be responsible. I'd put my money on chemical pollution or radiation. I just got a flash-back to 9th grade biology class. Aren't amphibans in general an "indicator species"? Meaning environmental changes manifest themselves through animals such as frogs. We did a lab about frogs at higher elevations developing mutations due to a higher exposure to radiation. I could be wrong. Its been a while.

jackwanders
i agree. this is a sad insight into what's to come! :( 585495432[/snapback] Don't freak out just yet. Frogs have been mutating for decades, and always as a result of localized pollution. Don't think the world is going to s**t because a frog's got two extra legs. It's not really an indication of large scale problems.
