Rumour mill claims Longhorn has a real name

Recommended Posts

Windows 95, 98 and 2000 had the best names. Simple names that are easy to understand and remember.

Windows 2006?

Windows 2006 Home

Windows 2006 Professional

Windows 2006 Server/../.. etc.

Why would you need a fancy word that doesn't mean anything?

Can't be real. No way Microsoft will compare their OS to a soccer mom's SUV. Or would they...?

Just call it Windows 2006. You don't see EA coming out every year with "Madden: e-XP Edition!!11!"

Windows Experience sounded stupid 3-4 years ago, whatever the name will be for longhorn it will sound stupid at first but eventually you will get use to it, I just think it's a psycological thing

They should continue the emoticon based naming:

Windows XP

Windows 8^)

...and so on.

Umm, everybody trashing Inquirer seems to have short term memory lapse ! Most of their news turns out true, heck even Neowin uses them as "source" for various newstories.

Wasnt Inquirer the first to post that Whistler was going to named XP ?
