Went to work this morning.

Fell over on black ice. Swollen ankle.

First aider sent me to hospital.

Hospital sent me home.

2 hours later hospital called requesting my to return to them as they had not seen a break on the XRay and that I needed a cast. :D

There was a looooooot of black ice on the streets this morning, the temprature dropped to -5.8c here according to the temp sensor last night after a heavy snow/sleet/rain fall earlier in the evening which left a lot of surface water. The roads were fine, but the pavements were not so good.

It's around -2.0c out there atm but I don't know as I'm not getting a signal on the weather thing, but it's forcast for -8 tonight. :brrrr:

I was trying to make a light hearted addition to the topic. I broke my ankle. So what?

No big deal. Greater things happen in life. Its no big deal to me.

On the small subject of ankles, mines still screwed from a week ago when I was chasing a friend around the classroom with a hammer, and then worsened when I ran to a friends house at 2am because I was so scared for their health, and then ran up a main road to get something, ran back down that road to their house which buggered it up royally. :\

Right now, -3.6c outside, dunno about snow.

My friend chases me with kitchen knives whenever I have growling competitions with his dog. No snow here in Essex, but we're fairly near the coast so the warm winds from the sea stop it I suppose. Had the car door frozen this morning, took me a while to open that up. I really want a snow day though.
