VB.NET... Need help with assignment.

Hey guys can any of u help me out with my VB assignment, i'm kinda clueless :huh: and this thing is due tomorrow. i just need to answer 1 through 5.. Thanks in advance.

Employees are paid an hourly wage at an assigned rate. They are paid 1.5 times that rate for time additional worked over 40 hours during a workweek. Taxes are deducted from their gross pay according to their tax rate. Employees are paid net pay each week.

Develop specs for a program that calculates weekly pay for each employee, and prints a statement that includes name, time worked, pay rate, gross, and net pay.

1. Define a list of variable data for the program.

2. List the steps (algorithm) to manually create the pay statement.

3. Use some made-up test data for step 2 to manually derive a result.

4. Draw a flow chart, based on the algorithm, for the program.

5. Write a list of Pseudo code statement for step 4.

What's this got to do with VB?

You're not even doing any coding as far as i see it, you're merely providing some documentation layout, that's pretty simple and basic, and why on earth did you leave it to the last minute?

i dunno why i waited this long, i know its simple and i know i'm not writing any code, but i just need to get this thing done and then i can work on getting up to speed in this class.

What's the difference between steps 2 and 5? If the assignment doesn't involve writing VB, then do you have a specific syntax for writing algorithms or what?

All those are so easy, you could do them in 5 minutes, you just have to think about it.

On that note, i really have to finish this assignment im doing, it's due in two hours. :pinch:

No to be harsh but start on it first and then post and see if it's right, i could really say you're fooling us, there's nothing called, getting it done and up to speed, because you won't be up to speed if you don't try it yourself and learn it yourself and make us do it for you.

well no more help needed.. finished my work about an hour ago, guess i was freaking out over nothing, i was thinking more about failing and having everything go downhill. once the panic was over i was done in no time.
