At the moment i'm using tiny little ColorsIT speakers, 2 tiny little sattelite speakers. If I put the bass up they go mad and crackly and they're not nice at all. I'm upgrading my sound card to something which I havn't decided yet but i'm going for 7.1 what speakers should I be looking at? I don't know if ?200 will buy me a decent pair of speakers, I don't know anything about them.

Many Thanks.

Isn't Creative the only company to make 7.1 computer speakers?

I could be wrong and I can't remember the model #'s, Maybe when I get home.

Batfink

Creative MegaWorks 5.1 550 THX? Speakers

Awsome sound, THQ Certified, total of 500w RMS... Totally recommended!

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/Cre...1_Speakers.html

Bottom of the page - ?185

5.1 is awsome enough, 7.1's of the same quality will cost you a fair bit more they come in at ?265

They look good, don't know anything else about them.

I won't get 7.1 then i'll put the money on some decent 5.1 instead. Thankyou very much.

Verbose.

Is ?39.95 cheap enough?;))

Logitech X-530 5.1 70W Speakers

Full Specification

I've only looked at one review for these speakers but the one I did look at almost seemed to deify them (in terms of the price to performance ratio). I also listened to them at CompUSA and they sounded great.

edit: Here's the review I was talking about.

Thanks for the post but I don't know anything about speakers so i'm just judging it on how big the subwoofer is :D

The Creative Megaworks set look about 3 times as large, so they're probably my best bet right now.
