[HELP] Network Security Project

Question

iron2000

Can someone help me with my Network Security project please?

The objective of the attack is to?look for?open ports in the victim (?V?)?and using those open ports to carry out an attack.

The port scanning part is easily taken care of.

But the attack part is difficult.

The attack must violate at least one goal of network security.

(Confidentiality, Integrity or Availability)

I chose to flood the port with UDP packets.

There are many UDP flooders around but they seem to have no effect(slow down or crash the victim - violate Availability)

What can I do?

Thanks in advance.

Standard flooding. Ok. They exist but I cant give you a link or anything here. That's something you'll have to find on your own.

This sounds like a strange project.

PM me, I will or should add you to MSN and we can shar ideas. I am taken currently 2 Security programs in school but hold prior knowledge. Yes it's sounds like a weird project, but feasable schools worldwide. In CompTIA Security+ they actually provide you the tools to DoS a client box, or give you the wonderful free yet expensive @Stake L0phtcrack. This is so you know, and understand hands on. Not to worry all is done securely, and professionally.
