grr, blogger.com

has anyone ever created a "blog" from blogger.com? it's like a weblog you can use for your website. i suppose some people use them as web journals...but anyway, if anyone has ever made one, how the heck do you get it to allow you to host it from your own ftp server? i managed to make a server, and i even connected to it using cuteftp, so i know that it works. but when i try to post to my "blog" or weblog or whatever, it's supposed to create a file called blogger.html or something in the directory i chose, but it just aint happening. i'd rather not have it hosted on blogger.com cuz that would defeat the purpose of using it to update MY website, and i dont know of any other sites like it, so im kinda stuck..ahh, does anyone have any idea?

yeah a window pops up asking me to log in, which i do..then this shows up:

"Error 503: Unable to load template file. We're working on this. Please try back later.[more info]"

i dont know if thats why it wont work tho..blogger.com has never worked for me. i'll wait awhile and try again later i guess.

  • 1 year later...

i recommend staying far away from blogger. i'd use a cgi based program like moveable type or greymatter. or if you have a host that supports php, then use b2. but honestly... stay FAR away from blogger. I've had nothing but problems with it
