With other distros was everything rdy after the install but not with ubuntu. Can some of you give me a light....im kind new with Linux.... :blush: Im using the Hoary one. Thx a lot. BTW. Fotix Posted March 20, 2005 Share Posted March 20, 2005 Go to Gnome menu -> System Tools -> Terminal cd / sudo mkdir /windows/c Enter your password sudo gedit /etc/fstab Add this line if your Windows partition is the first one on the disk: /dev/hda1 /windows/c ntfs ro,uid=1000,auto 0 0 Save the file and exit. Restart Ubuntu. Note: you can of course create your own mount point by substituting "/windows/c" with some other location. Just be sure it matches fstab.
