OCing CPU..HELP plz :)

well..i know i got an old comp..

i wanna O/C my Intel 1ghz CPU..any sites that tell me how or someone can guide me. im a kinda of a n00b to OCing. my idea is actually to fry the cpu and get a new comp from my parents ;)

ps..o yes it is a DELL :s..please help!!

uve got a dell, ur a n00b, and u want a new comp, dont bother overclocking u dont have experience also a dell is hard to overclock

hello...im not a im a n00b at ocing but not at comps :p i just dont have time to build! did i ask if it was hard..? no..just wanna no how :p

Yea you have a dell computer so the chances of overclocking are slim your better of building your own computer. But if you really want to OC the thing you need to knew information about the Mobo so look up or call find out what Mobo you have ... my guess is you'll have to use a program call FSB and up the FrontSide Bus made by the same ppl as CPU Cool. b/c I know Dell usaully doesnt have Jumpers on the Mobo or the option in the Bios.

Overclocking a stock Dell box will be nearly impossible. At the very least, salvage what parts you can from it, and get a new, overclockable mboard and a new case. This'll be a little cheaper than a whole new system.

impossible on a dell, the options are just not there, and stay away from the windows based overclocking uts, vErY unstable.

i agree get a new mobo, and salvage ur parts, or jus be happy with what u have.
