Dr.Who quits

Recommended Posts

Was on the radio news this morning saying the same thing, a bit early for him to quit didn't even give anyone the chance to get an opinion of him as the Doctor.

Good on him. I always prefered him in Cracker, I don't think he suits the jokey character they tried to force on him in Dr.Who. He probably is a funny guy, but it was too fake.

I don't know how half the UK can actually like what they have done to the series. I know Dr. Who has never been too sophisticated, or high budget but I expected something a little more than stupid humour and reincarnations of previous villains (except the Daleks, of course).

I don't think he was the best choice of Doctor. Personally I think Richard E. Grant would have been a better choice, but then I don't make the decisions. As for him quitting, I heard about this late last night from a friend, and on Sky News, I was shocked and amazed that he would quit after one series, he could at least have the tenacity to have his couple of years in the Doctors position.

I just hope whoever they draft in next brings the class and sensibility to Dr. Who than Paul McGann did in the 90s in his TVM.

Not that I don't think they've already decided but you can vote for Richard E. Grant on BBC's site Link

That Dr Who was just wrong and over dramatised.

I've never been a fan of that show, but I quite liked the first episode. Eccleston was hilarious. Shame he's leaving. Maybe Billie Piper will be staying!

Isn't there some sort of requirement to get as many actors to play the role of Dr. Who as possible?

I think the original deal was seven incarnations, but they dropped that quite a while ago.

A timelord (The Doctor) has 13 lives.

I swear the generations of doctor are getting shorter. Tom Baker was in it for 7 years.

I agree :D Richard E Grant would have made a great doctor because hes semi insaine which all good Doctor Who's should be :D Tom Baking being the legendary Doctor of course.

The guy who plays the new doctor doesn't have a natural sence of humour :p it looks wrong when I see him joking and then watching gone in 60 seconds

What a waster, should have at least done a second series as its going to be difficult to create decent story lines with a new doctor every season

the bbc's little voting thing seems to be buggered atm, imo Alan Davies would make a cool Dr, hes got the hair and generally looks like he could just slip into the roll, other than him I guess Richard E Grant could work as well.
