Paulstorm
A tested & sturdy Compaq 3650. :p I wasn't keen on spending another half a grand for a new device unless it is radically improved. The new Pocket PC 2002 devices aren't quite enough yet. Tho the new Toshiba e740 with CF/SD slots & 802.11b integrated wireless is hot. I think I'm going to hold pat until some of the more inventive Pocket PC Phones come out this fall.
Slouch
I have a Compaq iPAQ 3635. I have the CF sleeve with a 128 meg CF card installed. I keep a cradle at work and at home so I can always be in sync wherever I go.

Cara Veteran Posted June 24, 2002 Veteran Share Posted June 24, 2002 Palm IIIe Yes, I know how old it is but I got it at a pawn shop for $5.00 with a dock and I hardly ever use it... Even though, I am looking at one of these newer PocketPC's...some of those things are more powerful than my first computer.
Roger H. Veteran Posted June 24, 2002 Veteran Share Posted June 24, 2002 I got a Ipaq 3135 for sale if anyone wants. It's in good shape and no scratches anywhere... it's basically brand new or think of it as refurbished. It wasn't sold while it was in stores so it was sold off real cheap and i sent it into compaq to make sure it was all A-OK and the replaced the light, screen, battery well everything inside except the external case. I didn't use it other than to upgrade it to PocketPC 2002 and it's here with the CF sleeve and i bought a 32MB 4X USB card for it too which is yours free as well.. contact me for some info or pictures if you need em. cheekymonkey
I still use my Palm Vx every single day.... "it does exactly what it says on the tin". As a Personal Digital Assistant I really can't fault it along with my fave apps - Action Names Datebook, Avantgo Web Clipping, Big Clock, plus the most addictive game ever [sic] Dope Wars. As a complete gadget freak I'm looking to buy an O2 XDA (for more have a look here ) but I really do feel that I'll barely scratch the surface of its features. Oh well.... still gotta get one though. Sweevo
I have my trusty Palm Vx - I'd love an Ipaq, but to be honest I only really use my Palm for PIM - and it does the job perfectly and hasn't let me down once in the two years I've had it! QuantumCathexis
I have my Sony Clie PEG-S300; old I know... But it has a line thru the screen and it's annoying as hell; and the battery life is shot; I wouldn't recommend CLIEs anymore; not that good as they state... Anyone know where to get a cheap nice PDA; [not eBay?]
1759
Texas Instruments Avigo, it was discontinued about 3-4 yrs ago, but at least I can sync it with Outlook XP, I'm looking to get a new PDA though, either a Toshiba or HP.

Roger H. Veteran Posted July 14, 2002 Veteran Share Posted July 14, 2002 well anyone else looking for a PDA? here's a quote of my stuff. here's what i have. Ipaq 3650 (32MB of ram) Ipaq 3135 (16MB of ram) They both come with the accessories that they were sold with but mine also has CF sleeve (i got 2 of them) and 32MB Lexar CF card (4X USB) I also have a PCMCIA sleeve but i'd like to keep that unless i'm selling the entire package which includes a 340MB Microdrive. Here's a quote i gave someone else... PCMCIA sleeve = $100 CF sleeves = $25 each 3650 = $250 (about) 3135 = $120 (about) Microdrive = $100 3 X-tra stylus from compaq cost me freaking $20!! LOL Also Compaq case and 2 slim cases If the whole thing was purchased at once then i'd give you a deep discount I don't really wanna sell my Ipaq 3650 but if the price is right then i'll sell it all. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=1366362506 that's from ebay and they sell for $275 there.. :)
sailgreg
I have got an old Palm 3, it is pretty good, but today you can get why better stuff :)
LUTZIFER
I don't have any of the listed, but if I was to get one, I'd definitely be getting the Compaq Pocket PC. Glad to see it's ahead in the poll. It would be the ultimate mp3 player and more, thats for sure. Why someone would by one of those useless PDA's is beyond me, they're not even a computer, just an expensive databank, lol.
