nartac
Same thing happened to me when I installed a geforce card on my system. Even worse, it screwed up my main HD. Anyway, try AGP 2X instead of 4X and see if it resolved the problem. If you have VIA motherboards, this is a known issue. Good luck
LOGIK33
Yeah I have a VIA !! Chaintech motherboard !!! I will try this ! But 2x its not very fast ?
nartac
I can't confirm but from what I have read, there is not much difference b/w 4X and 2X (very minimal) so no big loss. It would be nice if VIA resolve this problem though.

UKer
Is your power supply up to the job? My brother had to upgrade his when he got a GF4 (I think he has a 300w and got a 450w I think) and that solved the same problem you're experiencing.
Conan
My Geforce 4 Ti 4400 is running fine with my 300 watt Power Supply. I think it is either down to heat or a Driver issue.
