Microsoft Mira

Recommended Posts

What do you think about this technology? Personally, I think it's somewhat wasteful and unnecessary. You can gimme about $1500 in equipment and I can rig Mira up for you, and here's how:

Supply List

-Cheapie laptop

-Wireless 802.11a/b/g NIC

-Wireless Access point compatible w/ above mentioned NIC

Setup

1. Enable Remote Desktop on your Desktop

2. Set up your new laptop to connect to network

3. Go anywhere in your house

4. Fire up Remote Desktop on your laptop and set it up to login to your system

5. BOOM!!! YOU'RE DONE!

It's so easy... even a monkey can do it! There's no point in buying a $800+ tablet that can't do anything but connect to your system now, is there? Beat that, Microsoft! When a problem arises, you can't just throw more money at it. You have to throw money AND intelligence!!!

nah, no tablets for me. I wanna get me a nice lil laptop and i'll be set... chilling in bed with my 802.11B connection and i'm set! The PDA gets emails in my pocket when i'm near my house (and of-course inside too) so that works for that... :) The lappy is just for fulltime browsing when i need to check some neowin in the morning.

See.. TIMDORR, see you could save me $1500 if you only hurried up with the mobile version on NeoWin.net :)

You're forgetting handwriting recognition. And the ability to just write on the tablet.

Who cares, waste of time to care of message boards on the net, not worth anyones time.

But what he says is a good point about Microsoft, I don't like the idea of all that stuff either, pointless if you ask me.

Yea but it's another thing to teach someone not to use such childish language online or offline. And yes I do agree with him about Microsoft but I'm sure he could have found another word.

If he wants to sound like a prejudice bastar* then go ahead. But whenever someone uses the word gay to describe something they don't like, I get ****ed. Also unless you want to sound like an ill-informed 18th century doctor then go ahead and use the term homosexual.

Fixed -- I hope you're happy... calm down... someone's use of bad grammar every so often shouldn't be a cause of you getting ****ed off -- you have more things to worry about.
