OPaul
Norwich are all juiced up over last weeks win, duno if it'll be enough to keep them in though. Why's this thread headed with "soccer"?

I predict Norwich, Crystal Palace and Southampton to go down, Wow Southampton have really fallen when Redknapp arrived  Why's this thread headed with "soccer"? I noticed that also, it seems all normal football threads get changed to soccer. Thats not correct terminology
....
Please do not change the title again. In The Sporting Arena, Soccer is the correct terminology, so to not to confuse the two 'footballs'

....
In The Sporting Arena, Soccer is the correct terminology Its much easier, and much clearer to type "Soccer" than "European Football" and "American Football". End of argument. Please get back on topic.

golazo
southampton, norwich, crystal palace and please stop saying soccer is the real football. yes, we know soccer is the original football and probably has the most right to be called football. but it's much easier to say soccer because people will understand better
Mike
offtopic: if not to confuse the two, shouldn't both be changed? i've clicked on many football threads only to realise its an american football thread not a real football one ontopic: norwich and palace are pretty much down already i think, then it's between fulham, west brom and southampton

spa2k
<<snipped>> Move on. It's how it is here. Southampton, Norwich and Crystal Palace. West Brom may well be the first club to be bottom of the league at Xmas and escape the drop, well done to them if they do it, a big achievement. The rest of us are perfectly clear on the subject. Why not go with the majority?

The rest of us are perfectly clear on the subject. Why not go with the majority? 585765616[/snapback] Because the entire world, whether you like it or not, knows that your brand of football is also called Soccer. There is no other name for the NFL style of Football. We can't have two types of football. Soccer is another name for football and is less keystrokes than american football or european football. This is how the forum has been used and maintained since it's inception. This really isn't anything new, and it's not going to change. Any further comments on this can be PMed to me.
