Is this a bug in XP or is it just my machine?

lol Funny.

I reported this back in winxp beta days and was never fixed.

oh well

and yea still broke in R2 as well...

everyone submit a bug report and maybe it will be fixed ;)

I'm going to wait for beta 2 to report if its still effected. Sure it is.

oh never mind... and ignore post above..was not thinking...that was something else...i was think u were talking about...

now i see what u mean....

well was looking around and saw early reports msn desktop search app was effected by something like this to...like going over open containing folder dispalyed the wrong info and would open the wrong foler but open would work fine...

Like MS only screws up on illegal copies of its soft. Might I add, "WTF"?

if software is 'hacked', dont you think it might be possible the people who hacked the software may have left something in the build?

This could be something similar to that other 'bug' where some sound files created by a hacked version of sound forge were left in xp.

My guess though is that MS acquired the code for this function from some chinese software and forgot to edit that part out when they integrated it into xp.

Well spoke to microsoft.

This will be considered for a fix in future version of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems. So should be fixed in longhorn.

Anyone confirm fixed in build 5048?
