STNG
It is useful solution for Opera 8.0 Final. Problem: New style of Preferences window sucks. It is great for newbies but it does not contain some useful options . For example it's does not contain option "Close dial-up connections on exit" and some other. Solution: Just edit your menu configuration INI-file. Edit \Opera8\defaults\standard_menu.ini if you using default menu setup(Opera Standart) or edit %Opera_profile_path%\menu\standard_menu (1).ini if you using personal menu setup. Open your menu file and uncomment this line (remove ";"): ; Item, "Old preferences" = Show preferences, 100 Save changes. Then launch Opera 8.0 and choose Tools -> Old Preferences I think it is very useful solution for many Opera's users. STNG
Opera 8.0 contain ALL Opera 7.54 features plus useful new functions and many bug fixes. The interface has been simplified for newbies but you can set opera settings(preferences, menu) to old interface style. Opera 8 is not crapб it's the best browser available. STNG
Other way to get back old preferences window. Go to keyboard setup and add new keyboard shortcut Alt+F12 for old style preferences. Screenshot:
