FiREFLi
Well, this makes me feel like a noob  Trying to use javascript in IE and it just doesn't work at all. Not even an alert() How can I re-enable it, considering I've already tried the following to no avail: 1. Select Internet Options from the Tools menu. 2. Click the Security tab. 3. Click Custom Level in Security Level for this Zone. 4. Scroll down to Scripting, near the bottom of the list. 5. Under Active Scripting, choose Enable. 6. Click OK to leave Security Settings. Click OK to leave Internet Options. Thanks guys :)
groingo2
Sounds like you may have an IE browser shell like Maxthon, Avant or the like. If so, be sure you haven't got Java scripting turned off in them or check your security level and be sure it is set on medium. If not, you should celebrate! groingo2
Did you try resetting your browser to default in security and advanced? If you have updated to SP2 you might try re-installing to see if might repair or over-write, otherwise you may want to re-install IE from either your recovery disk or download a fresh one from Microsoft. Also, have you any external adblockers or spyware programs running, they also have switches that can turn things off and on. Are you getting any error or warning messages refering to you Java Scripting? There a mess of variables but I have yet to know of a case where IE shut off its Java Scripting though it is the first step Microsoft tells you to take to make your Onlining more secure. My money would be an external program is the culprit. If you still can't get it resolved, you can give me your account numbers and I will be more than glad to help...just kidding.
