cyoung1616
The one kid that tested positive wasn't infected by the needle but could possible infect the ones that were stuck afterward. Hopefully not and the best senerio (sp) would be no one gets infected and by this happening the one who is positive will have treatment now that may save his and others lives. He may have been unaware of his condition till adulthood and spread the disease to untold others. http://www.nytimes.com/2005/05/01/health/01needle.html Cody
lav-chan
Some of you guys are ****ing idiots. It's an 8-year-old kid who thought a big needle looked cool to mess around with, and brought it to school to poke people with. Remember when you guys were little, and thought it was cool to play with stuff like that? Like alligator clips and wrenches and buckles and stuff? It's not like she thought 'derrrrrrr maybe i shud take this contaminated nedle and stick it in ppl an c what hapens LOL'. Not the smartest thing in the entire world to do, but give her a break, Jesus Christ.
Toastyone
I understand that Lav but why in the world did she even think about bringing it to school to poke people? Her mom should have thought her that the needle was only to be used by people with diabetes for testing

People do stuff like that to each other all the time. It's the same reason one of my friends thought it was cute to cut a lock of hair off my head when i wasn't paying attention, and the same reason some of my friends used to have Sharpie fights at lunch, and the same reason people try to mark each other's hands with pens, and the same reason people splash water on each other when they wash their hands or get a drink from a fountain. It's just messing around.
BluePhlame1337
I'm assuming the needle was just left lying around on a table somewhere? Jeeze. I'm a hemophiliac and after every infusion of factor or insulin or whatever, I know that you're supposed to shove everything you used into a biohazard container, and I'm a freakin' teenager! damn parent need's help if anything

I know that at age 8 I wasn't exactly bright, but I still knew not to do something stupid like stab people in class. What parents need to start doing is beating their children. And I'm serious. My parents hit me a lot when I was a child and I turned out alright. Except for my serious depression problem, but thats a whole other story all together
