um..... dang, i never realized this part..

well rigg, my log in is automatic,( i mean, my password is already auto typed in...... )

so it doesnt show that..

but i dont know, maybe u should goto the account settings and see if u can click on a option were it 'wont' forget your password

hmm, that picture seems normal to me, but that outside of the button needs to be transparant/ backround of screen... exept that green arrow button thingy looks kinda at the wrong place.. im not sure if thats normal too

All the rest of the images, and text are in normal positioning. The only thing I can't find out is what bitmap that is. If someone knows, please post!

DrOMango, I created a logonui.exe available at

http://aaronrambo.tripod.com/download/

this copy has the text located on the right of the welcome screen removed completely. I dunno if that's exactly what you had in mind but just edit it to accomodate your custom pics and colors and you should have no problem.

What bitmap did you modify that surrounds the login and password?

I've been hunting down some kind of documentation on this subject over at the microsoft developers site. I couldn't find anything. There has to be some kind of documentation on the variables of all the functions. some are self explanitory like rbg() and argb(); but some are too cryptic.

there should be an easier way to do all this... i mean there has to be a way to preview our work without having to log in and out or reboot.:mad:

yea there's another one like this exept it says something about 'border" try looking for that

and the color is the same thing (90,126,220);

hey shifty, i was thinking the same thing, and there is a way to do it without rebooting, but i dont know how stable it is.. after you have set it all up, just replace the logonui file, and hit start log off, and switch user, you dont need to reboot, or even log off

I keep seeing posts with people having problems with XP replacing the original logonui.exe file. You can do all your editing in safe mode, and test your edits by hitting the window key + L

I can run photoshop, and the reg hacker in safe mode, so that's how I've been doing it.

I believe that is ntoskrnl.exe in the sustem32 directory. I can't seem to change it though.
