That's supposed to be the way. Not just FF...take any browser that opens links in new tabs/windows. The window from which you clicked upon to open the link hasn't changed itself and hence it will not have any forward history associated w/ it.

u got me wrong! i dont mean the New tab window. im talking about the original window from which i clicked the link, when i click a link that opens up in a new tab, the original window (not the new tab) loses all the links i have visisted. that's not all browsers man! can't be.

Yes i've made my profile only a week ago! but ive always had this problem but neva bothered to complain but now ive had enough. here is more detail incase i havent explained the situation enough:

for example i open Firefox , i have one tab now only rite! i browse the mozilla forum, and i middle click a link and it opens up in new tab ok! now if i go into the new tab and then close it, it takes me back to to where i was, which is the first tab i had and if u look at the back button its grayed out! i'm NOT talking about the back button in New tab (which i have closed) but the only tab that i have! the first one. this is not normal! i cant explain it anyo ther way and im sure there is something wrong wif it. can anyone help?
