Boy finds snake in cereal box

LONDON (Reuters) - A British boy sitting down to breakfast had a nasty surprise when he discovered a two-foot long snake inside his box of cereal.

Jordan Willett, 5, thought he had found a toy when the serpent -- a harmless corn snake -- slithered out of the packet of "Golden Puffs" his parents had bought from discount store Netto in Telford, central England.

"It was quite long and popped its head up. I've seen snakes on TV before but never in a box of cereal," he told the Daily Mail newspaper.

Netto said Wednesday it was talking to its suppliers to review procedures and check on its stock.

"This does seem to be a bizarre incident but we are treating it seriously," said Netto trading director Clive Cooper.

Corn snakes, which feed on mice and birds, are commonly kept as pets.

Yeah it was on the radio yesterday, there have been a lot of cases of finding creatures or bits of humans or creatures in food stuffs.

As for a Snake in your cereal, nah I can't see it somehow, the Snake would have suffocated.

Sue them for what exactly. If you are so litigious, tell me exactly what law you would cite them on?

I'm not a lawyer but I do know a bit about how it works. And actually, that's part of our problem here in the US. You don't need a law to start civil proceedings here. You don't need proof or evidence of any kind. A civil suit can be started as long as you can pay costs for it. Granted you will probably not win, but you can still have your day in court. The real problem this causes here in America is that it's putting the rich in a powerful position over the poor. Let's say you are a powerful company or a group, like the RIAA. You can sue someone claiming that they stole your music, and order them to pay you $4000. Now a stupid college kid not knowing reality, is thinking that they are safe. You know, what PROOF does the RIAA really have? Probably none, but it doesn't matter. Once the RIAA opens a civil suit against you, it's going to cost the college kid $10,000 in legal fees just to defend themselves. The student might win or they might lose the case but either way, they are paying out the nose which is really what the RIAA wanted. Students never realize this sadly until they get a legal notice of a law suit against them and then it's too late. I've seen this happen, and I do wish we could stop this kind of court abuse here in the US.

Ok, so i posted the same story, my apologies, but, first off, not everyone is going to search every single time to make sure something has not been posted, we all get news in area's at different times. Second, my post is different in the fact i'm asking opinions on what others would do if they found something similar in a box of cereal. And third, if it was posted yesterday big deal, not everybody saw it, and from what i've seen on the reponses on this one are a lot more then the one from yesterday, do to the fact i asked a question also..... so yea, i'm done now...
