trigger_my_passion
As per http://kb.mozillazine.org/Keyconfig_extension:_Firefox, I can use this code: user_pref("keyconfig.main.xxx_key__Extensions", "!][][][BrowserOpenExtensions('extensions');"); to invoke the extensions window by a user defined key. I replaced 'xxx' w/ 'e', pasted it in prefs.js while FF was closed and reopened FF. But nothing happens when I press the 'e' key. What am I doing wrong? trigger_my_passion
well, guess am out of luck here... [16:59] <Mossop> srikat: You have the keyconfig extension installed?[17:00] <srikat> Mossop: no, since I can't install keyconfig I am manually trying to set 'e' key to invoke extensions window [17:01] <srikat> and the reason why I can't install it is, it is not compatible and wouldn't get installed on nightly (trunk) or whatever it is called..latest build [17:01] <srikat> the one that has instant back and fwd feature [17:01] <Mossop> srikat: Well that code for the preferences only works if you have keyconfig installed [17:01] <srikat> oh [17:01] <srikat> how can I set it w/o having to rely on keyconfig? [17:02] <Mossop> srikat: To the best of my knowledge you can't [17:02] <srikat> actually the purpose of trying to know that is: I want 'z' key to behave like back button and 'x' forward [17:02] * self (self@stjhts26c002.nbnet.nb.ca) has joined #firefox [17:02] <srikat> like how it is in opera....now that FF has instant back and fwd, it would be awesome [17:03] <srikat> and fast
